Organic waste is now being used to produce energy. In that process, an extremely nutrient rich byproduct is created – this is digestate – an entirely sustainable resource.
DIGESTATE STORAGE
Sometimes, more digestate is produced than can be land applied. In these instances it can be stored in lagoons or manure pits for later application.
