JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the NASM Plan Developer and Land Coordinator works to ensure the accurate completion, submission and follow up on NASM plan applications and efficient land sourcing.

KEY RESPONSIBITLIES

NASM Plan Application and Submission

  • Accurately complete, submit and follow up on NASM plan applications.
  • Communicate with Operations team to determine priorities for NASM plan applications.
  • Complete field assessments and coordinate soil testing as required in accordance with legislative and Bartels Environmental Services Inc. standards and procedures.
  • Ensures appropriate scheduling and success of land application.
  • Effective correspondence between farmers and employees.
  • Complete and submit, accurate post application reports within the timelines specified by licences/certificates and or provincial legislation including proactive recommendations where appropriate.
  • Review and evaluate NASM sample results to ensure source material is suitable and complaint with provincial legislation for land application.
  • Liaison with customers to ensure NASM source material is sampled and tested in accordance with the Nutrient Management Act.
  • Prepare Land Application Schedules prior to NASM land application that are compliant with licences/certificates and provincial legislation.
  • Complete field and boundary preparation tasks prior to land application.
  • Ensures a positive working relationship is developed and maintained with current and new clients.
  • Act as liaison between Bartels Environmental Services and government ministry departments as required.
  • Keep up to date with legislative regulations and requirements regarding environmental, health and safety procedures and compliance.
  • Ensure requirements and compliance are reflected in workplace policies and procedures in Bartels Environmental Services.
  • Provide strategic direction and evaluation on daily business activities and points of opportunity that align with business objectives.
  • Submit daily reports to Operations Manager

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

Reporting to the General Manager, the primary role of the General Labourer is to load and unload trucks, spread material and operate farm equipment/tools.

Working Conditions

  • Outdoor work, exposed to all types of weather conditions
  • Physical demands, working with heavy materials
  • Long days depending on season and weather

Job Requirements

  • Safety oriented
  • Physically fit and hard-working
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience operating heavy machinery and farm equipment is considered an asset

  • Licensed and experienced AZ Driver
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Liquid Heavy Haul Experience preferred
  • Preferred experience with pumps and hydraulics
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Efficient team player, safe, and professional
